Florida law requires that all roofing work be completed by a licensed contractor and Peet Roofing will apply for, secure, and pay for all roofing permits required by your city/town.
We Will:
- Tear off your existing roof and underlayment to the decking. We will check all decking wood and replace any bad wood
- Replace and re-nail the entire decking to meet code requirements
In addition, we will install two layers of synthetic underlayment. Peet Roofing recommends synthetic underlayment as it is engineered to repel water & resist moisture. If you have a certain material in mind you’d like us to use on your home’s roof, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
We will:
- Utilize Valley Metal & Ice and Water Shield as valleys see a larger amount of water than other parts of your roof. These shields help to keep your roof water-tight
- Install new Drip Edge everywhere except behind gutters. Drip Edge is a piece of flashing that prevents water from going under your shingles and behind your gutters.
If you’d like or need new gutters, Peet Roofing will arrange gutter replacement to coincide with your new roof construction.
- Install new boots, vents, skylights (extra charge for new or we can reuse skylights) and paint all boots to match the color of your shingle
- Install 130mph wind resistant Architectural shingles. We will install any shingle you prefer, but Peet Roofing recommends shingles manufactured by CertainTeed, Owens Corning or GAF
