1. COMPLIMENTARY ROOF INSPECTION:

We can provide homeowners with a complimentary roof evaluation to assess whether any of the recently reported hailstorms have damaged their shingles.  We have expertly trained staff with over 30+ years of experience differentiating between hail damage and normal aging of the roof.

When hailstorms impact the roof’s surface, the bond between the granule and asphalt mat of the shingle is loosened.  This causes the granules to start shedding over time and also voids the manufacturer’s warranty.

2. HAIL DAMAGE AWARENESS:

We refer to hail damage as “impact pitting and spalling.” In many cases, hail damage is not apparent after the initial storm, and it can take upwards of a year after the impact for the damage to become visible.

For your safety do not attempt to evaluate the roof surface yourself. Most homeowners cannot differentiate between hail or wind damage versus normal deterioration. If you decide not to use Peet Roofing, I still highly suggest you have a contractor involved in your roof inspection who is thoroughly trained in identifying hail damage to a shingle compared to normal wear and tear.

3. NATIONWIDE HAILSTORM DATABASE:
